If I become curious about a small village, I spend a few days there. If a city feels too crowded, I drive somewhere quieter. The destination is no longer important. The freedom to choose is.

People often ask if I miss having a permanent house. The truth is that I have never felt more at home. Because home is not always a location.

Sometimes it is a routine. Sometimes it is a person. Sometimes it is simply a place where your mind feels calm enough to create.

Technology made this life possible. Solar panels provide electricity. A mobile internet connection brings clients, meetings, articles, and ideas from around the world. Nature provides everything technology cannot. Silence. Perspective. Space to think.

Many people work their entire lives so they can travel after retirement. Perhaps we can redesign that idea. Maybe work and travel were never meant to be separated.

Perhaps earning a living and exploring the world can happen at the same time. A home with wheels is not about escaping life. It is about taking life with you.
