Love or Logic?
ArticleCorner Editor's Note:
For some time, I had been noticing a quiet change.
Dr. Mind was still thoughtful, calm, and careful with every word. Dr. Heart was still warm, emotional, and never afraid of saying what she felt.
Neither of them had changed their nature.
And perhaps that is what made this so interesting.
Love does not always turn people into someone else. Sometimes, it simply brings out the feelings they have been trying to keep hidden.
Lately, their conversations have become longer. Their coffees have lasted a little more than usual. Their silences have become more meaningful.
Something was clearly happening.
Dr. Heart seemed to know what it was.
Dr. Mind, on the other hand, was still trying to figure it out.
Perhaps that is the difference between them.
She follows her heart.
He questions his.
This time, they did not sit down for another conversation.
Instead, they wrote poems for each other.
And somehow, those poems said what neither of them had quite managed to say aloud.
So perhaps there is only one question left:
Is it love, or is it logic?
❤️ Dr. Heart’s Poem to Dr. Mind:
I never planned to think of you,
I never asked my heart to care,
But somehow you became the thought,
I find whenever you are not there.
I like the way you speak so calm,
The quiet wisdom in your eyes,
The way you search for every answer,
While I can feel it when you smile.
You call it friendship, maybe thought,
You give your feelings different names,
But I can see behind your words,
The little fire behind the flames.
I will not hide behind a doubt,
I will not pretend this is not real,
I know exactly what I want,
And I am not afraid to feel.
I like you, Dr. Mind, I do,
There is no reason left to hide,
If this is love, then let it come,
I will not leave it locked inside.
Perhaps the heart is brave like this,
It does not need to understand,
It simply reaches for a hand,
And hopes that someone takes its hand.
🧠 Dr. Mind’s Poem to Dr. Heart:
I have been thinking more than usual,
And that alone should tell me why,
My mind keeps asking endless questions,
While something else just says, "Do not try."
I told myself I loved your thoughts,
The conversations that we share,
I told myself that was enough,
And not the way you always care.
But then you smile and I forget
The reasons I gave myself,
I try to keep my thoughts in place,
But somehow you undo them all.
My mind says, "Wait, be careful now,"
My heart says, "Why are you afraid?"
I have no answer for them both,
And yet I like the mess they made.
I do not know what this will be,
I cannot promise where it goes,
But when you leave, I miss you more,
Than any reasonable man should know.
Perhaps I should call this a feeling,
Perhaps I should just let it stay,
Perhaps my heart already knows,
What my mind keeps pushing away.
ArticleCorner Manager's Final Note
So, which is stronger: love or logic?
Dr. Heart would probably answer without thinking:
"Love."
Dr. Mind would probably remain silent for a while.
He would think about it.
He would analyse it.
He would probably find several arguments on both sides.
And then, perhaps, he would look at her and smile.
Maybe some feelings are not meant to be solved.
Maybe they are meant to be felt.
And sometimes, when the heart speaks clearly enough,
even the mind has no choice but to listen.
