An Eagle’s Message from the Sky

The ArticleCorner Animals team traveled from Istanbul to Nevşehir to attend an event about animals and nature. After the event, they decided to take a ride in an ArticleCorner Animals hot air balloon and see the unique landscape from above. As the balloon slowly rose into the sky, something unexpected happened.

Several eagles began flying around them. They came closer and closer, until one of them landed on the edge of the basket. The team was surprised. The eagle seemed to have something to say.

🦅 The Eagle
Welcome, ArticleCorner Animals team. We have been watching you and following the stories you share. You are trying to give animals a voice and help people understand our world. I am happy that you are here. I have something I would like you to share with people.

I spend much of my life flying high above the valleys, searching for food and watching the world below. I love the wind, the open sky, and the freedom of flying wherever I want.

But people often see us only as birds flying high in the sky. We have our own lives, our own families, and our own fears. We also have places we call home.

So I have one request for you. Please share my story. Let people know that we are not simply birds flying above their heads. We are living beings sharing the same world with them. Perhaps if people listen to us, they will begin to see the world a little differently.

🎆 Fireworks Are Beautiful to You
People look at fireworks and see beautiful lights covering the night sky. For us, they can mean something completely different. Sudden explosions frighten us. Loud noises can make birds panic and fly away. Smoke fills the air, and frightened birds can lose their way.

You may enjoy fireworks for a few minutes. But for us, those sudden explosions can be frightening and dangerous. Birds can panic, lose their way, crash into buildings, or even die because of the fear and confusion. Our young are especially vulnerable. They do not understand where the explosions are coming from. They become frightened and try to escape while we desperately try to protect them.

Imagine your child suddenly becoming terrified by loud explosions and you being unable to make them stop. How would you feel?

That is how we feel when our young are frightened by fireworks.

We are not asking you to stop celebrating. We are simply asking you to remember that the sky is our home too.

🌍 A Shared Sky
The ArticleCorner Animals team listened carefully. The eagle was not asking humans to stop celebrating or enjoying life.

It was asking for something much simpler: Remember that you are not the only ones living beneath the sky.

There may be birds resting on cliffs, nests hidden among the rocks, and animals trying to sleep while we celebrate. Before filling the sky with noise and smoke, perhaps we should think about those who cannot choose to leave.

The sky is beautiful because it is shared. For us, it is a place to celebrate. For them, it is home. And sometimes, respecting nature means celebrating a little more quietly.
